Matthew 5: 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Rejoicing While Persecuted
Jesus commanded us to rejoice when we are persecuted.
Matthew 5: 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Dan Wingert is getting ready to take a missions trip to India and contributed this thought:
It is possible that I could face persecution while I am on the mission field but I know that the Lord will be with me and I know that I will have a great reward for serving Him. This would also prepare me for what could happen in this country.
Matthew 5: 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
